Early childhood educators in childcare centres deserve to have their professions appreciated. It is with this in mind that we have offered a significant salary increase to over $30 an hour to qualified educators. An increase has also been offered to childcare centre support employees.
Despite these generous offers, unions have voted for an indefinite general strike.
Quebecers are paying this salary increase with their taxes. It is the parents, and for the most part, their children, who are suffering the consequences.
